Have you found anyone who can confirm the existence of the PRO record? If
not, I think that it's existence is suspect. I have a copy of a document "A
List of Prisoners of War Who are Officers in Commission in custody of the
Marshal-General," published on Tuesday the ninth of September, 1651. It lists
all Scottish Officers captured at Worcestor. There is no Robert Abernethy
(However, there is a George Abernethy).

A friend and I commissioned a search of the PRO by a London Genealogist. He
found nothing. Of course that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. I would
love to see that record or otherwise confirm its existence!
