Alice, which Miles Osborne Abernathy are you looking for information about?
Arvord M. Abernethy of Hamilton, TX has written two books on Abernethy
families.

He lists Robert Abernethy ( Esquire Bob ) born 1790 SC, d 1847 in MS. md
1807, Dicie Byrum

1.) Robert b ca 1810 believed to have md a Martin, had one son, Dr. James M.
Abernethy
2.) Samuel Byrum Abernethy, M.D. b 1809, md Miss Wilson, md 2nd Jane McCurdy
Bankhead
3.) MILES OSBURN b Mar 21, 1812 md Frances Abernethy 12/3/35 dau of Samuel
Vance Abernethy.
4.) Daniel A. Abernethy b ca 1810 md Franky Abernethy 8/6/37.He drowned on
way to Texas against Mexico.
5.) Rufus T. Abernethy ca 1815. To Pontotoc, MS married Sallie Long.

All of our early Abernethy's/Abernathy's came from Charles City Co-
descended from Robert the immigrant who tentered there as an indentured
soldier of war, Battle of Worcester.
