Hello all,

ABERNATHY/ABERNETHY and KEYES families supposedly came to the USA
about 1866 from Scotland.

John ABERNETHY and Margaret KEYES had several sons who went to the
USA maybe about 1866.
Two to Pennsylvania, one to Missouri, and two to Colorado and these last two
I have some info on.

My ABERNATHY/ABERNETHY family supposedly came from Edinbury,
Scotland and I've been told that is probably means Edinburgh.
Well I think Edinburgh is in MidLoathian-shire. I found Abernethy
Parishes in Inverness-shire and Perth-shire. I have been told to look in
Aberdeen-shire and Shetland. I have subscribed to the MIDLOATHIAN-L,
SCT-INVERNESS-L, PERTHSHIRE-L, ABERDEEN-L, and the SCT-SHETLAND-L mailing
lists but have not received any responses to a query similiar to above.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to proceed?
I have gone to the LDS familysearch and searched on these names but
didn't find anything that looked promissing. But then again maybe I didn't
do it right.
