I am not sure if the is the same Fleming Plantation the you refer to, but
there is a Fleming Plantation in Lafitte, Louisiana. Lafitte is a town that
is about twenty miles from the Bridge City and Waggaman area. Lafitte, too,
was once used as a vacation spot by some wealthy New Orleanians. If it is the
same plantation, some members of the Fleming family still live in the area,
and the plantation grounds, cemetery, and barn have been used in a number of
movies, including Oliver Stone's JFK. It was also once the home of writer
Megs Frost.
If you think it may be the same plantation, and would like to know how to get
there to see it, I can help you out.
