Hi Lucie
Clarence J. dEntremont in his book Histoire du Cap-Sable (vol-3
page 1124) says that in a rare case where a European woman marries an
Amerindian, considered by Europeans as an inferior race. He is saying
that Marie Sale was married to Jean Claude a micmaque.
Plus he goes on to say that Genevieve Massignon has toyed with the idea
that Martin Aucoin, the ancestor of all the Aucoins in Acadia, could be
the son of Marie Sale in a first marriage with Martin Aucoin, the 20 Jan
1632 at La Rochelle, France.
