I found this info & a copy of orig.marriage cert.for Rene Leblanc & Anne
Bourgeois.
1) About 1680, Pierre Melanson, who had been Chief of the Malitia at Port
Royal, with his wife, Margurite Mius (daughter of Phillippe Mius D'Entremont)
and their seven children, moved to the fertile lands of "la Grand Pre" (the
large meadow), in the Basin of Minas. A little later, there also came Pierre
Terriau, Claude Landry, Antoine Landry, and Rene LeBlanc, whose wife was Anne
Bourgeois, and who was the father of the Notary Rene LeBlanc of Grand Pre's
later history. They settled in the neighboring territory of the same basin.
