Hi Annabel and Everybody! Until Stephen White's book comes out, if you at
all able to get to a American/Canada and the like Genealogical Society, as a
rule they have great holdings on the Acadian ancestors. You can also use
Stephen White's web site for the 37 families he has posted.
As Tim mentioned about interlibrary exchange, many libraries will get the
Moncton microfilms on loan. These contain baptisms, marriages and burials
of our ancestors. Through these microfilms at the American Canadian
Genealogical Society in Manchester, New Hampshire (a 1/2 hour from home), I
was able to find all of my Acadian ancestors I was researching. So this
too, is an alternative - Hope this information is helpful. Have a nice
day! Lucie
PS - Stephen had thought the first two volumes of his work would be ready
after the holidays with those volumes covering 1600's to 1714 - from Tim's
post last night, it doesn't look like it now...
