Subject: MARCHAND and ROLLET surnames

I have found a few mentions of MARCHAND and ROLLET in some surname lists
related to Acadia and New France.
Is there anyone who has these names? I am particularly interested because
these are my husband's primary maternal lines. His mother was a French war
bride from Brittany. I am attempting to connect us - at least that's one of
my projects. My surnames are the garden (Jardin?) variety Cajun/Acadian -
Thibodeaux, Bourg, Moulaison, LeBlanc, Henry, Lebert, Hebert, Melanson,
Gaudet, Martin, Potet, Landry, Coumeau, Robichaux, ad infinitum.
I am under the impression that Marchand and Rollet were similar in social
class to the Acadians - weren't most Acadians of the highest of the three
French peasant classes? I love the very idea of a higher peasant caste -
that's me, all right!
