I am not sure that the records specify that Joseph Qubdeau dit
L'Espangnol's parents came from or originated in Paris.
It sometimes reads to me that his wife Marie-Anne (Antoine) or Marianne Beau
was from the Paris diocese, and I remember seeing somewhere that someone had
listed her father as Franois Beau.

QUEBEDEAUX
The Qubdeaux surname comes from Quevedo in the region of Andalusia in the
province of Malago in Southern Spain. The Quevedo or Qubdeaux family
imigrated to the Louisiana Territory thru France which causes a great deal of
confusion. All Qubdeaux families are related the spelling was changed as
French priests, who kept official records, spelled the name phoneticlly, as
it would be in French. The principal variants of the name Qubdeaux include:
Quvdo - Cavdo - Qubdeau - Qubdeaux - Quibdeaux - Le Qubdeaux -
Qubodeaux - Qubodeau - Kbodeau - Quibodeaux - Kuibodeaux - Kibodeaux,
etc., dit L'Espagniol
The name Qubdeaux first appeared as a family name during the 1740s at Fort
de Chartres, one of the French posts along the Mississippi River in Illinois,
where a Joseph Qubdeau dit l'Espagnol and his wife Marie-Anne-Antoine Beau,
both from Paris, France, lived and reared several children.(3) Joseph's nick
name, "L'Espagnol", indicates that he was a Spaniard originally named
Quevedo, which was later Gallicized to Qubdau.
The parents and origin of Joseph Quebedeaux is unknown, but we believe that
his wife Marie-Antoine Beau, or Marianne Beau was from Paris and her father's
name could have been Franois Beau.
This is based on the following entry: "Qubdeaux, Joseph, m. Marianne Beau
dau. of Franois, which would indicate that the the father of Marianne Beau
was named Franois Beau and was from the diocese of Paris in France.
According to Missy Burke, Joseph Qubdeaux his wife Marie Antoine Beau and
their 2 daughters, Marie Joseph, Qubdeau and Marie Jeanne Qubdeau came to
the Illinois country in the Renaud Concession. But it is not known if he
actually worked in the lead mines.
