The Centre for Acadian Research of Prince Edward Island is located in
Miscouche, PEI. It has been acquiring and preserving archives from various
organizations and individuals of Prince Edward Island's Acadian community
since 1964.
The Centre for Acadian Research of Prince Edward Island produced this virtual
database in 1998, with the assistance of Industry Canada's SchoolNet Digital
Collections Program. At the present time, the site includes 8,520 photo
descriptions; the images for 3,083 of these photos are currently available.
The site also includes textual documents.

This database will be enriched over the years. It is presently subdivided
into three sectors: Various Acadian Archives, La Voix acadienne and Ulric
Arsenault.

This digital collection was produced under the terms of a contract for
Industry Canada's SchoolNet Digital Collections Program.

The information contained in this database is mainly available in French.
