Subject: Benoit Family Reunion

To those interested.

I would be interested in working with some Acadian Benoit's in Nova Scotia,
New Brunswick, Quebec and anywhere else for that matter in putting together a
Family Reunion. Although the Benoit's are not numerous in the Maritimes,
mostly from Arichat and the Tracadie, New Brunswick area there are a large
number who emigrated to the US via Quebec due to the deportaion.

Anyone interested please contact me, what I would like to see is a real
reunion not what my brother witnessed last year in Louisiana, although the
efforts at a reunion there were well intended, they were poorly organized and
not too too many were in attendance and from his reports it was more of a
bible thumping revival than a reunion.

I want to see a real reunion without all the religious overtones that
respects the beliefs of all who attend regardless of what they are. So if
you are a descendant of Martin Benoit and Marie Chaussegros and are
interested in getting together with other Benoit's in 2004 please let me know
if we can pull something together.
