Hello cousins,

My name is Carol Thibodeaux. My father was John Hugh Thibodeaux (listed in
vol 38 1906 - Hebert SWLA pg 799.) He and all his siblings were born in
Abbeville, Louisiana. They all spoke French in their home until my dad, the
eldest, was eight-years-old. They all have a wonderful sense of humor.
Maybe that's why I was given the name Carol. It means, ‘Song of Joy.'
My direct line comes through five of the children of Pierre Thibodeaux and
Jeanne Theriot.

There is a fifth one but I lost a generation when my computer froze. Hint -
always back up new discoveries! My latest challenge is finding that missing
person to reconnect me to that fifth direct line.
I have a list of lots and lots of Thibodeaux information for anyone who wants
to compare, etc.

I went to Mt. San Antonio College then worked as a dental hygienist in
Beverly Hills, CA. Yes, I met a lot of stars of stage, screen and radio.
Then, after I married, my husband was transferred to Fresno and I worked as
secretary to the Director of Women's Ministries and I was sign language
interpreter in church. Now am coordinator for the deaf . Peoples Church is
the largest church in town and wouldn't you know, the pastor was born in
Texas! Then I was offered a job as a legal secretary and worked there until
I retired. I continued as a volunteer at the church cataloging music for the
choir and with a young group called Signs of Joy which learns music in sign
language and goes out and preforms and they are good!

Knowing my roots has been a passion of mine. A big Thank You to Yvon Cyr
