This looks very interesting. I'm working on the Broussards. Haven't had time
to get further into it. I got stuck at Sosthene Broussard(b. 1834) & Melinda
Sayes (b. 1837) m.1854.
I'm sure the info is out there.
What particular source do you have about Joseph Broussard coming to
Louisiana Feb. 1765? I'm sure that is some historical period that I should
know about; not up on my history yet.

Another extended family that came to Louisiana with Joseph Broussard in
February 1765 was his brother, Alexandre Broussard. In spite of the
yellow fever epidemic of late 1765, this family stayed in the Attakapas
District. One problem with this family, like many others, is keeping
track of all the orphans. The results of my research for the period
1762-1771 are as follows, any corrections, additions, or comments would
be welcomed.
