Joseph Broussard was the leader of the 231 individuals from Halifax,
Nova Scotia that went to Louisiana and in April 1765 settled in the
Attakapas-Opelousas Districts. My research indicates he had 11 children
and he brought all of them and their families (or the surviving members
of their families) with him to Louisiana. I would welcome any
corrections, additions, or comments.
