Hi Ginnie...Rene l'ainé [meaning eldest] was born 1618
Rene le jeune [meaning younges] was born 1634
They were not brothers and their parents are unknown.

Here is what Stephen White says about their relationship:

After a study of t he dispensations granted upon the marriages of the
descendants of the Landrys, it appears that the first two René Landrys in
Acadia could not hve been more nearly related than in the second to third
degree., etc.... page 194 of the English Supplement

I'm confused!!! I have Rene Landry le Jeune and Marie Bernard in my
line.

A couple of questions . . . were Rene Landry l'aine and Rene Landry Le
Jeune related??? Did Rene (l'aine) marry Perrine Bourg?

And finally - what year were both Rene's born and are parents known for
either of them???
