Dear List, My Hebert line is probably typical of the Acadians who went to Quebec. Joseph (Augustin, Augustin, Jean, Antoine). Joseph returned from Massachusetts to Yamachiche, His son Pierre died in St. Bartholomay, Pierre's son Pierre married in Montebello but then went to Cumberland,Ont/Buckinhame,QC area, His son William went to Maniwaki, QC. A definite westward trend along the St. Lawrence either to farm or work in the buche. My Grandfather Pierre Jean son of William was born in 8/20/1858 one of 17 (all survived to adulthood) and immigrated to the upper peninsula of Michigan and ran lumber camps in Michigan and Wisconsin, My father Eugene was born in a lumber camp the youngest of 12 in 1914. This line tended to be quite prolific. I have over 125 first cousins on my Hebert side and I am the middle child of 9. Jayne A. Hebert
