James--
This looks / sounds very much like the "One Great Family" internet site /
project that LDS launched at the FGS Conference in Salt Lake City last
September -- maybe with some enhancements (??). Donny Osmond kicked it off
then, and it was supposed to be the biggest thing to hit genealogy ever.
There were lots of skeptics then, and there seem to be lots of skeptics now,
as it does not appear to have really "taken off."

I keep asking where this stands, and only get shrugged shoulders in
response. I'll be in Salt Lake City in January and can inquire. Or maybe
there is data right on the website.

That looks VERY interesting, hope they can pull it off. ONE big database
with everone in it. Wonder how they will handle discrepancies??
