Hi Gang ....
Either my email is not working or everyone is being quiet or
whatever, I have not seen any messages in quite a while. Just want to
make sure I am still in the right place. :-)

Hi Andrea,
I got your e-mail. My genealogy time has been cut way back now that I'm
working outside the home again.

Would anyone have a birth date and baptism date and place for Joseph Edward
Martin.
He was born ??? 1854, 1855 or maybe 1857 (this one is probably the wrong
one). He lived in Iberville Parish. Died July 24, 1897, m. Lazida Gueho. His
parents were Joseph Louis Martin and Marguerite Melizza Bossier.
Also, a little more recent:
Pierre Alexander Martin b. April 6, 1887 and died Sept 13, 1967 m. Clara
Odeal Breaux.
They lived in Maringouin, Iberville Parish.
Can anyone find out when and where they were married?
Thanks,
Margaret Martin Broussard

His baptism record as abstracted in DIOCESE OF BATON ROUGE CATHOLIC CHURCH RECORDS,
Volume 8, page 405, has his birth as "11 omitted 1854". It lists his baptism date as 4 Jul 1854 but has a note
that the year 1855 was possibly intended. He was baptized at St John the Evangelist Church in
Plaquemine and the original record is in Register 2, page 118, according to the abstracted record.

Unfortunatly, I am not working on geneaology right now, so I don't reply to

Hi all, I have not had any emails from the Acadian list for a long time either. But I did get yours, so I guess I am still on the list and all is working. BG

Rootsweb is upgrading their servers for the last few days so that may be the
problem. Someone sent that out on another list.

Can anyone help??
I am trying to connect Gerard Judice to the next two ancestoral generations.
I have a lot of information on Judice and related families but I am unable to
connect Gerard.
Note that although listed as Gerard, per Orleans Parish Birth Index, actual
spelling could be different or it could be a middle name as there are errors
in transcription.
From similar family first names, possibly Maximilien Judice (b. 10/3/1783)
and Celeste Boutte (1/03/1790-10/18/1863) or ??
Gerard Judice and Therese Carolina Benit's son, Gustave Oscar Judice, was
born 8/17/1859 per Orleans Parish Birth Index.
Gustave Oscar Judice married Olivia Rieffel, children:
Olivia (my grandmother), b 1/19/1898
Barbara, b. 3/9/1895 per Orleans Parish Birth Index.
Theresa Marie, b. 7/4/1887 per Orleans Parish Birth Index.
Maria Celine, b. 2/12/1889 per Orleans Parish Birth Index.
Cecile Viola, b. 12/19/1890 per Orleans Parish Birth Index.
Edward Oscar, b. 3/17/1892 per Orleans Parish Birth Index.
Pauline, 12/9/1900 per SocSecurity, in New Orleans.
Thanks,
Tony

Over the past several years, on this list, several individuals referenced
their lineage to Charlemagne.
I am the 36th grandson through the Randolph, Plantagenet, and Capet lines.
Just curious...I would enjoy reviewing other lines, especially up through the
Acadian side.
