The one Parish that I did call was St Tammany because of the rare name.
Through a little research I found that it is named after an Indian chief
named Tammamend. Who hated the English so that the Revolutionaries called him
a "saint". He was a Delaware Indian who sold Philadelphia to the English (via
William Penn) in 1682. Interesting!
