Hi Lucie & List:
Once again, you are correct Lucie. Tracking it all once again, Josephe
Theodule LeBlanc married Marcelite Guilbeau, 13 Apr 1837. [Hebert SWLR, CD 101:
LEBLANC, Joseph (Silvestre & Parosine DUHON) m. 13 April 1847 Marcelite
GUILBEAUX (SM Ch.: v.8, #326)]. Looking at the birth date of Silvestre LeBlanc,
13 Feb 1782 [Hebert, SWLR, CD: LEBLANC, Silvestre (Simon & Marguerite GILBO
[GUILBEAU]) b. 13 Feb. 1782, bt. 19 May 1782 Spons: Frederic LEBLANC & Marie
BERNARD. Fr. Joseph ARAZENA (SM Ch.: v.2, #46)] who married Perosinne Duhon 11
Feb 1806, means that the Simon who married Marguerite was not the son of Jacques
& Catherine Landry. :-) So we are back to square one I think. The Simon shown
above arrived in Louisiana before the Simon, son of Jacques & Catherine Landry.
Could he have been part of the Broussard group as a boy or young man? I think I
had better clean off these glasses! Sigh ...So I guess the question still is -
who were the parents of Simon LeBlanc who married Marguerite Guilbeau? :-)
