Subject: DOMEC FAMILY IN LOUISIANA

I am researching the Domec family in Louisiana and found a new Domec name on
Father Hebert's CD. It lists a Virginie Domec married to a Foret and another
listing to a Fournet (probably the same gentleman). Her name is listed as a
parent in the marriage entry of two of her children. The marriages are in the
1890s so Virginie must have been born in the 1870s. I have NO record of her.
The only Virginia Domec I have was born in 1900, the daughter of Marcellin
Domec and Marie Anastasie LaPorte. Does anyone on this list have any
information about her? I can find no connection to the Domec families
(brothers Jean Francois, Hypolite and Marcellin) that arrived in Louisiana in
the 1870s. As always, I would appreciate any information anyone has to share.
