With the interest in genealogy nationwide, most county or parish libraries
have a "Special Collections" section where research books are available for
in house use only.

With the increase interest in Acadian (Cajun) culture and genealogy, it is
very possible that your county library has such a collection. Or would
probably buy the collections if asked.
