Subject: Sad News - Oaks Destroyed

Hurricane Lili has destroyed Oak Trees that were there when the Acadians
arrived! Oaks and Weeping Willows are part of the Acadian heritage - both in
Acadia and in Louisiana.

Trees symbolize continuity - they are there when you're born and when you
die! For the Acadians, the symbolism is even more important since they
represent the Acadian will - the trees witnessed both the departure and the
arrival of the Acadians.

I would like to start a fund to replace the trees as a tribute to our
Acadian ancestors. I'll provide more information on my site asap.
