Lucie is right - Louis bn. May 1722 was the brother of Pierre bn. Nov 1723 -
I got them confused..

Pierre Allain m. Catherine Hebert was born and baptized as Louis on
5/16/1722. The child of Pierre Alein and Catharine Hebert is the only entry
made in the St. Charles aux Mines records after 1748 which indicates that
the registers were brought into exile by the Allains or else given to the
family for safe-keeping. A daughter, Margarite was bn. 10/11/1771 and bt.
omitted Oct. 1772. The sponsers were Jean-Baptiste Alein and Margarite
Richard. The entry was made 29 June 1773 [SGA-2, 235] [DOBR, v.1.a,
revised, p. 9]

There is only one Catherine Hebert in the St. Charles records and it is
Catherine Josephe bn. 5 Nov 1731. Her parents were Jean Hebert and Marie
Madeleine Douaron. She may be the spouse of Louis [Pierre] Allain.

Hi List,

Does anyone have info on a Catherine Hebert married 1756 to Pierre Allain?
Pierre's parents were Pierre Louis Allain and Margaret LeBlanc. Catherine
Hebert and Pierre Allain had a son, Simon Allain, born about 1759 Baltimore,
Md. who married July 7, 1785 Pointe Coupee Parish, La. Marguerite/Elizabeth
Babin.

My source on some of this info came from Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic
Church Records Vol 3 1804-1819.
