Hi Mike and Listers,
It should be noted that it was common for Acadians to note the name of their
father or first initial when signing documents or recording them.. for
instance, in my father's birth record in New Bedford, MA, his father was
recorded as Damien S. LeBlanc - the S was to denote that he was the son of
Sylvain - you will see this in very many Acadian records.
So Mike, I believe it is possible that have found some of the names recorded
as you have. Lucie

Stanley and List, this brings to mind another thing I have noticed in my
family research. I have noticed that in some families of the Daigle line
the
son has the middle name of the father's first name, for example, Vital
Daigle has the son of Raymond Vital Daigle, who has the son Hubald Raymond
Daigle. I have also seen this a few times in the daughters names where
they
take their first name and have as their middle name the mother's first
name.
Interesting, isn't it?
