Not a bad idea Paul, however the PRDH has a special document type for marriage
contracts and they also show the notary's name.

Fran's idea that SAW goes to the originals if available suggests to me that both
research teams used two different official sources. Here in Québec, parishes
always made two copies of each act. One copy was kept in the parish register
while the other was sent to the court house.

I suspect that SAW consulted a copy saved in the parish register, while the PRDH
most likely used the court house copy for their project.
