Hi Rita,

Thanks so much. I guess I was remembering wrong about which census
started listing the parents' birthplaces -- heck. Think of how much
easier this hobby would be if they'd started listing complete
information back in 1790! *sigh*

No need to go through the 1860. I have the family pretty well traced
from Theotiste to the present; it's Theotiste's mom who is giving me fits.
