I would like to try again to list the possible children in the confusing
family I first posted as #1 of the three couples named Joseph LE BLANC &
Marguerite LANDRY. Stanley suggested reversing the birth dates of two of the girls, and
I found some more baptismal records that seem to fit this group. Here goes:

Family #1 (revised):

Father--Joseph (dit Adans) LE BLANC, born about 1751 in Acadia, son of
Bonaventure LE BLANC & Marie Josephe THERIOT. Grandson of Jean (dit Des Sapins) LE
BLANC (SAW Dictionnaire p. 989) & Anne LANDRY (SAW p. 928); Joseph THERIOT (SAW
p. 1490) & Marguerite MELANSON (SAW p. 1156).
This Joseph is listed in his father's household in 1763 in Baltimore, MD;
again with his parents in 1767 at St. Gabriel, LA, age 16; first listed married
on census dated 10 May 1772 at St. Gabriel, with a wife age 21 but no children
yet. By the census dated 6 Mar 1777 at St. Gabriel he is listed age 27 [not
37], with a wife age 20 [sic] and four young daughters. Given these facts, I
list their marriage date as "before 10 May 1772," [but not as early as 1770].
Given their unusual proclivity for having a child virtually every year, I doubt
that 1770 could be right without having some children by 1772.
I believe this Joseph is the man who died on 28 Aug 1836; buried 29 Aug 1836
at Plattenville, Assumption Parish, LA:
"Joseph [LEBLANC], age around 87 years, buried 29 Aug 1836, died yesterday
(ASM-3, 259)." [What was he doing in Assumption Parish? Does anyone have the
U.S. census records for him for 1810, 1820 & 1830?]

Mother--Marguerite LANDRY, born about 1751 in Acadia, daughter of Alexandre
LANDRY (SAW p. 933) & Anne FLAN (SAW p. 619).

Their children--
(1) Marguerite LE BLANC, born 17 Jan 1773, baptized 24 Apr 1773 at St.
Gabriel, Iberville Parish, LA (SGA-4a, 2). She married 1st in 1802 to Joseph LE
BLANC (son of Jean Baptiste LE BLANC [?] & Marguerite COMEAU); 2nd in 1817 to Eloi
Jean HEBERT.

(2) Rosalie LE BLANC, born 3 Apr 1774, baptized 14 Apr 1774 at St. Gabriel.
She married Michel GAREILLE on 27 May 1793; was buried 9 Dec 1794 at St.
Gabriel.

(3) Marine LE BLANC, born 12 Jan 1776, baptized 22 Nov 1778 at St. Gabriel.
She married in 1800 to Gregoire BABIN.

(4) Heloise Elisabeth LE BLANC [sometimes called Elise or Elisse], born about
Feb 1777 [because one month old on the census dated 6 Mar 1777], baptized 21
Jun 1777 at St. James, LA. [Winston De Ville has pointed out that there were
no baptisms or marriages recorded in the St. Gabriel register in 1777. See his
ST. GABRIEL SETTLERS, "Introduction"] She married Senateur Joseph BABIN on 22
Apr 1799 at St. Gabriel. She was buried there as: "Mrs. Senateur [BABIN],
widow, age 55 [sic], buried 15 Mar 1830 (SGA-8, 178)."

(5) Joseph LE BLANC, born 2 Oct 1778, baptized 21 Nov 1778 at St. Gabriel
(son of Joseph & Margarite LANDRY); sponsors: Isaac LeBLANC [the child's uncle?] &
Margarita BLANCHARD (SGA-4a, 9).

(6) Simon LE BLANC, baptized 18 Mar 1780 at St. Gabriel. He married 1st in
1801 to Marie Euphrosine DUPUIS; 2nd in 1818 to Marie Rose LE BLANC. He was
buried on 2 Jan 1854 at St. Gabriel as "Simon LeBLANC, age 74 years. (SGA-8,
350)."

(7) Adelaide LE BLANC, born about 1781 [?], married on 13 Jul 1795 at St.
Gabriel to Thomas HEBERT. She was buried there on 14 Sep 1832 "age 65 years
[sic], wife of Thomas HEBERT (SGA-8, 194)."

(8) Marie Louise (Eloise) LE BLANC, born about 1783 [?], married on 30 Aug
1802 to Abraham ARSENEAU at St. James, LA. She was buried at St. Gabriel as
"Marie [LEBLANC], age 25 [sic], spouse of Abraham ARSENAULT of St. James, buried 2
May 1813 (SGA-8, 60)."

(9) Jean Baptiste Joseph LE BLANC, born 5 Apr 1785, baptized 27 Apr 1785 at
St. Gabriel. He married in 1810 to Marie Celeste Alethe HEBERT. He died before
23 Nov 1818 (when his widow remarried).

(10) Marie Josephe LE BLANC, born 25 Jun 1787, baptized 12 Aug 1787 at St.
Gabriel. She married in 1806 to Marcel DUPUIS. She was buried 7 Feb 1853 at St.
Gabriel, age 70 years [sic], widow of Marcel DUPUY.

(11) Etienne Edouard LE BLANC, born 23 Jul 1794, baptized 23 Aug 1794 at St.
Gabriel. He married in 1818 there to Marie Adelaide LE BLANC.
