Don,

Using the 1766 census data, I have found the following early arriving Landry
families:

Attakapas 25 April 1766

Anne Landry, daughter of Jean-Baptiste Landry (parents?) & Madeleine
Broussard (Alexandre/Marguerite Thibodeau), step-daughter of Olivier
Thibodeau.

This family came to Louisiana with Joseph Broussard, arriving in February
1765.

Opelousas 25 April 1766

No Landrys here

Verret¹s Company 8 April 1766

Olivier Landry (Joseph/Marguerite Forest)
Cecile Poirier, wife (Jean-Baptiste/Marie Cormier)
Jean-Antoine, son
Marie, daughter

Joseph Landry (Olivier/Cecile Poirier)
Teenage girl (Olivier?/Cecile Poirier?)
Pierre Poirier (Abraham/Agnes Belliveau) second cousin of Cecile Poirier

This family was among the first documented Acadians to come to Louisiana,
arriving in February 1764. Imprisoned in Georgia.

Cabanocey 9 April 1766

Joseph Landry (Abraham/Elizabeth LeBlanc)
Widower of Madeleine Gaudin
Joseph, son
Pierre, son

Imprisoned at Halifax, this family may have arrived in Louisiana in May or
possibly November of 1765.

Mathurin Landry (Abraham/Elizabeth LeBlanc)
Widower of Marie Dugas

Imprisoned at Halifax, probably came to Louisiana with his brother.

Pierre Chiasson (Abraham/Marie Poirier)
Ositte Landry, wife (Jean?/Madeleine Melanson?)
Michel, son
Marie, daughter
Paul, son
Jean-Baptiste, nephew (Joseph/Annette Saulnier)

Imprisoned at Fort Beausejour, probably came to Louisiana in November 1765.

Do you have any other Landrys that were in Louisiana by April 1766. Of
course, there was a large influx of Landrys in 1767 and 1768.
