I've added a page on my site http://www.thecajuns.com/oldnew.htm to
provide old and new place names for Louisiana. Lucie has a page on her
site http://www.acadian-home.org/frames.html [see Place Names under
Acadia]for the places of yesterday and today in Acadia

My new page also provides an expanation for the reason Acadians named
places on a prairie île [island], pointe, anse [bay] and Côte Gelées
[frozen hills]!
