Does anyone know if the Claude Martin who m. ca. 1765 to Marie Babin was
the son of Charles and Jeanne (Commeau) Martin, or of Ambroise and
Madeleine-Emilienne (Commeau) Martin? I'm finding both, with citations
of Hebert and Arsenault -- don't know how to figure out which is
correct, unless Stephen White has weighed in on the subject.
