Here is what I have on the journey of Jean Dugas and his family to
Louisiana:

Halifax list of prisoners 12 Aug 1763 (Jehn p. 249)
Jean Dugas, wife, 8 children

Jean Dugas b. 5 May 1712 (Abraham/Marie-Madeleine Landry)
Marie-Charlotte Godin b. ca 1715 (Gabriel/Andree-Angelique Jeanne
(Jasne))
Francois b. ca 1740
Marie b. ??
Jean b. ca ??
Rose b. ca. 1749
Charles b. ca 1750
Michel b. ca 1752
Athanase b. ca 1753
Theodore b. ca 1758

Amable Robicho, wife, 3 children

Amable Robichaud b. 10 Jan 1732 (Joseph/Marie Forest)
Anastasie Dugas b. 28 Nov 1738 (Jean/Marie-Charlotte Godin)
Henry b. 18 Jul 1759
Jean-Baptiste b. 14 Apr 1762
Child b. ??

Ca. 1763 Jean's daughter, Marie, married Mathurin Landry b. 15 May
1733, son of Abraham/Isabelle LeBlanc. He was imprisoned in Halifax
with his brother Joseph.

In November 1762, these 3 families came to Louisiana with Joseph
Broussard.

In New Orleans on 4 Apr 1763, Jean Dugas was one of the signers of the
D'Auterive Compact.

These 3 families then went to Atakapas with Joseph Broussard where they
settled.

There on 17 Jul 1765 (Hv1A p. 748) Marie-Charlotte died and on 4 Sep
1765 (Hv1A p. 273), Jean Dugas died. Also Marie Dugas. daughter of Jean
and Marie-Charlotte, died in childbirth (Hv1A p. 277). Marie Dugas,
wife of Mathurin Landry died 28 Jul 1765.
(Hv1A p. 476) Isidore Landry (Mathurin & Marie Dugas) b. 26 Jul 1765 d.
9 Sep 1765.

In late 1765, the remnants of these three families fled to Cabanocey.

There in the 9 Apr 1766 census are found the following listings:

Family #55
Francois Dugas age 26
Rose Dugas age 17
Charles age 16
Michel age 14
Athanase age 13
Theodore age 8

Family #56
Anastasie Dugas, age 27, widow Amable Robichaud
Henry age 6
Jean-Baptiste age 4
Marie age 2

Family #57
Mathurin Landry age 29

Amable Robichaud must have fled to Cabanocey with his family. On the
microfilms of the originals of the 1766 census, I have found two copies
that list him as an "Hombres de Armas" and one copy where Anastasie is
listed as widow Robichaud. Another thing that indicates the widow
listing in the 1766 census may be wrong is that in the 1769 census she
is listed with a son, Louis Euzebe age 2. I have seen a date of 6
December 1766 for his death, but have not been able to confirm this.
