Hi all,

I agree with Roger that Vincent Arseneau & Pierre Vincent are not the same
person.

POSSIBLE??? parents of Pierre Vincent & Anne Vincent [Labauve]:
Pierre Vincent, dit Clement (Clement & Madeleine Levron) & Blanche Michel
(Louis & Marguerite Forest) [DGFA p. 1583]

By the 1752 census [Rivière de Pengiguit], Pierre Vincent, dit Clement is
already married to his second wife Rosalie dite Rose Barrieau. This couple
is listed with two children [obviously children of Pierre's 1st marriage to
Blanche Michel, since he had just married for the 2nd time on May 8, 1752 to
Rosalie Barrieau].
The two children are listed as:
"Hesidore Vincent, aged 4 years. [could this child be the Pierre Vincent in
question?]
Anne, aged 8 years."

As Roger mentioned,
"The name of the mother of Pierre and Anne Vincent in the marriage
dispensation (2nd degree Consanguinity) for Pierre Charles Vincent with
Celeste Labauve in 1796 is listed as Puariet which some people have
interpreted as Poirier..."

I have to wander...Was Marguerite FOREST [grandmother of Pierre & Anna
Vincent] named in the dispensation request instead of their mother's name,
Blanche Michel???

This would not be the first record that I've come across where a woman's
name was mistakenly given as her mother's name instead of her own name.

Of course, this is only my theory, but would love to have some input from
the list!

Thanks, Paul for bringing this one up...it is one that I had put on the back
burner until now.

Rita Hargroder, nee Duplechain
