Salut Colleagues,
I don't know if anyone has answered this question?
Please forgive my ignorance, but I am wondering if the Mikmaq--some of my
ancestry--are part of the Iroquois tribal nation. Does anyone know?
Heidi
Yes, the Mikmaq Indians are part of the Iroquois Nation.
Esther Comeaux Howard
The Mi'kmaq nation is part of the Alongquian (notice the "a") Language
group, along with the Algonquin, Passamoquody, Abenaki, Montagnais, and
most of the Eastern Coast Native Americans.
AmitiƩs,
Norm
