I think that you are correct. I have seen the entry, but somewhere and
sometime it seems to me that a discussion occurred about the interchangeable
names of BABIN and BABINEAUX. This has caused me to hesitate. But as you
have observed there is only one entry that even comes close.

Andy,

I believe that Arthemise Babin was Marie Arthemise Babineaux, born in 1814 -
see entry below. Theogene was born in 1815. The death record shows age 22 in
1847 but I think that this is a transcription error and that 32 was
intended. There isn't any other entry for this person.

you may want to check for clues her Burial Record 13 May 1847 St
Martinville,
Daughter (Celeste) Alida birth 22 nov 1846 St Martinville,
& I wonder why Theogene waited about a year to Baptise other daughter
Louisiansise Marie-Louise 15 jan 1848 Breaux Bridge?
