This is good enough for me... Jean Pierre would clearly be on this list
if he was part of this family. I think this clearly disproves the
hypothesis that Jean Pierre and Jean Hilaire were brothers.

Adelaide was born in New Orleans in 1789, the daughter of Jean de l'Aune
and Marianne Part. I've got her line fairly well worked out.
On Jean Pierre and Adelaide's marriage, Jean Pierre is called a "Native
of Dunkerque." I am beginning to think that he really was a "native" --
i.e. not an Acadian. I don't think a lot of Acadians ended up in
Dunkerque -- it's a port but it's pretty far north, I think many more of
them were in Bretagne and Normandy. I think it's sounding more and more
likely that Jean Pierre Clement was a Frenchman who came to Louisiana
(not as part of the Acadian expeditions) and married an Acadian woman.
