Neal

Thanks for getting us started.

Broussard - Part of rhe magic of Beausoleil Broussard was that he was
in two places at the same time. There is a question of how much
Alexandre was involved in the leadership of the Acadian "Impressed"
irregulars at Ft Beausejour. I am descendent of two of their sisters.
Next extra book money get Warren A Perrin Acadian Redemption that tell
the brothers story.

JB Guedry dies sometimes between the census and the arrival in New
Orleans on the Jane/Genea. They are first sent to settle across from
Natchez MS After a while they were allowed to come down river to the
Acadian Coast. Neal's JB (Jr) left his older brother, mother & sisters
on the river and moved to Bayou Teche. Do you know if he went "west"
with the Breau(x) family of his future bride or Uncles Pierre Guidry &
Paul Boutin who settled at Cercelia.

Does anyone have an extra copy of the Acadians at Natchez article(s)?

You share JB (Jr) with Lona's Rocky, Ron Guidry, the Yankee clipper of
New York. Remind me to get you in touch with another retired millitary
Ted Jambon who both he and his wife are decendents.

Hold your Hebert ancestor and they will be one of the first brickwalls
we work.

Hello everyone,

I am Neal Hebert, originally from St Martin Parish,
Louisiana, currently living in Modesto, California.

None of my family has been to Nova Scotia since the
expulsion. My grandparents are Hebert, Broussard,
Guidry, and Daigle. I'm uncertain about my Hebert
ancestor, but my Guidry ancestor (Jean Baptiste m.
Anne Magdeleine Dupuis) was deported to Maryland and
was listed there with his family in Jul 1763. My
Daigle line was deported to France and two generations
(Abraham m. Anne Marie Boudrot and son Francois m.
Jeanne Holley) arrived in Louisiana aboard the ship
"Le Beaumont" in 1785. My Broussard line (Alexandre m.
Marguerite Thibodeaux) arrived with Beausoleil
(1765?).

I'm currently researching the descendents of Charles
Quebedeaux m. Marie Recuron 1776 in Louisiana, however
my goal is to someday determine for certain his link
(son or grandson) to Joseph dit L'espagnol m. Marie
Antoinette Beau abt 1720 in Illinois.

Other projects? I dabble in about everything and have
spent more time researching my wife's family than my
own in the last couple of years. I enjoy doing lookups
in SWLR (I have the CD-101) and also do a fair job
chasing families down in census records, so feel free
to ask if you need a lookup.

Neal.....
