Paul,

Some of the records show Jean-Baptiste m. Isabel Oubre but his name was
actually Jean Bicente. His parents were Jean Baptiste Lejeune and
Marguerite Trahan. Marguerite was a sister of Honore Trahan which is why
some of the siblings are shown with them. Jean and his siblings were
passengers on the ship Britania - see http://www.thecajuns.com/britania.htm

Jean had a son named Jean Baptiste as did his brothers, Blaise and Joseph.

There was another sibling named Antoine who is on the 1763 census but he
died before the trek to LA and one of the sisters remained with the Indian
Tribe in TX as she was too ill to continue the trek from Texas to LA.

C - thanks. Just the clue we needed. Andre & myself have been looking for
them over five years.

Andre - he is the brother of Blaise!!! That makes him the son of JB &
Marguerite Trahan of Baie des Espanole. I will find him in Wood Maryland as
an orphan later.

Paul

Try Outre. Blaise's oldest brother was married to Isabelle Outre "Hooter".
They lived at Avoyelles.

Yes please.

Would you keep an eye out for a Jean-Baptiste LeJeune m Hooter? I have ofter
wondered if Hooter was Hoover (Oubre)? All we have is a few records on them.
The last was he sold land in Avoyelles in 1792.

Slim possibility brother or other relative?

Paul
