I received copies of Muster and Descriptive Rolls of Illinois Civil War
Units for two of my ancestors from the Illinois State Archives. In the
column for rank and also occupation is written what looks like a small dv.
Can someone tell me if this signifies the same thing as a ditto mark? Thank
you.
