I have gotten a book that I ordered from the LDS FHL from Salt Lake to my
local FHC. The book is titled in full Robert Adair (1770-1845c)(An Adair
Family History) Reid, Emerson, Hobbs, Worley, Thompson (Related Items)
Compiled by Shirley B. Adair Date Microfilmed Mar 14 1996, Item # 9 Call #
1698207. This book has an inaccurate genealogy of James Adair, and
inaccurate Biograpy of James Adair. If you have used this book for your
pedigree of Cherokee Adairs, please note that there are other more accurate
books. I am going to try to contact Shirley B. Adair, and let her know a
more accurate biograpy and genealogy.

Please note, that I have not researched the other Adair lines from Robert
Adair other than those down to James Adair, Indian Trader, so I do not know
if the other is accurate, although I would have to say it probably is. If
you are researching any other non-Cherokee Adairs, this book may have
accurate information that will help you. I would incourage those of you who
live close to a FHC to order the microfilm of this book, and if you see
inaccuracies contact Shirley. She has asked for your help.

Hope this is helpful to some of you. I know that I owe you a correction to
the earlier post of the Cherokee Adairs, but I am trying to get the
information on the internet. Will let you know. Have done further research
on these Adairs this summer, and will let you know the results.
