Jean, Would this be the Robert Adair of Fawn Twp, York Co PA which is just on the border of Harford Co. Maryland ?
Robert Adair would have had children, John & Hannah (b.prior 1779) and Robert Adair (b. between 1779 - 1790, after grandfather's will, but prior to grandmother's will) perhaps recorded in York Co. PA ?

Robert Adair may have been son of John Adair bc1732 co. Antrim, Ireland, later of Knoxville, TN.

This Robert would not have been the Robert Adair appointed 1761 constable at Staunton as he would have been too young.
