Here is what I have on Samuel Simpson's children:

1)Benjamin Swain Simpson, b. July 9, 1769
2)Elizabeth Simpson, b. Sept. 1, 1771
3)John Simpson, b. Oct. 6, 1773
4)Charles Simpson, b. Aug. 7, 1776
5)Samuel Simpson, b. April 5, 1779
6)Luke Simpson, b. Nov. 28, 1781
7)Rosanna Simpson, b. Nov. 29, 1783
8)Anna Simpson, b. March 23, 1787
9)Frederick Simpson, b. Feb. 7, 1790

This comes from the family Bible in Samuel's Revolutionary War pension file
submitted by his heirs to obtain his pension benefits. Son Luke presented
the data to the Orange County pleas and sessions court in 1844 on behalf of
his siblings. Is it possible that your Lydia is my Elizabeth? Her brother
Benjamin Swain Simpson married Mary Wyatt in Chowan County, on Jan. 27,
1791, and eventually moved to Orange County with the rest of the family.
