Subject: Martha and Evangeline Adams

Does anyone know of a Martha and/or Evangeline ADAMS, sisters, born
in NY (don't know where) about 1822-1824 or so? Martha m. William
ILLMAN about 1842 and after she died in 1865/66 in Philadelphia,
Evangeline and William married.

This is the sum total of what I know about these women. Martha is
my great grandmother, and I'd dearly like to know more. I have no
idea as to who are their parents and one needs that info to keep
tracing back.

Suggestions on how to find these ancestors with such a common name
are also welcome.
