I was at a FHC library in Oakland, CA., today and found this book. Have you
seen
it? It is titled " Early East Tennessee Taxpayers, compiled by: Pollyanna
Creekmore. I copies a few pages, The intro, and a couple of index pages. I
got the
index for Adams and Thomas and Thompson and Carter. I can scan it to you if
you
are interested. I am not sure how this helps except it tells you the area
they
were in and that they owned property, we will need to go to the county's to
get
the records. There is one James Adams, and lots of others.
