Alli, it could be Downing, she is guessing for my grandmother, never went to
see her grandmother,(she was Indian ) AND I GUESS THEY HAD SOME TROUBLE AND
MY G-GRANDFATHER would not let his wife go back and see them, they were ran
off there farm for beening Indian, and it looks like they try harder to be
white. it is a good thing i was born later for i guess i would be dead, for
i sure would and will stand up for who i am, and I,m a Mixbreed, real Mixed.
Just found that my grandfather on the same side, was also Indian his father
was 1/2 Indian and scotchIrish, he let us think he was German, hehehe. And i
have a Mahan G-grandmother on my father side that were 1/2 indian and his
mother was a Wade with Indian in her, so we are real mix! have a good day,
