Message Board Post:

I read your message and was interested in more information about John Adams. My middle son is named John Dobree Watson after John Adams and Basil Dobree (who married the sister of Nathan Adams).

Our branch of the Adams family comes from Pulaski, Tenn. Nathan Adams was born there and left at the age of 17 to come to Texas to work for the railroad. His mother taught college in Pulaski and his father had died after war. Capitola is an old family planatation in this area. Nathan Adams (my children's gg grandfather was CEO of the First National Bank for 50 yrs, was the leading force in founding the Scottish Rite Hosp. for Crippled children in Dallas, was close to Pres. Hoover and many other lifetime achievements. He died in 1965. My sons have visited Franklin, Tenn, Nashville with their grandparents. My oldest son Nathan Adams Watson left Dallas and did his medical internship in Lexington where he visited often with John Adams. He came back to Texas to practice medicine. I am starting to help them research their family tree. Thanks...rose
