I don't have the answer to your question but you just gave me a clue as to
what to look for. My grfa (never met) was to have died in Marlin Tx. in
early 1900's and can't locate death record on him; Travis Riddle McCown.
A Dr. James J. Riddle was circuit rider Baptist Preacher for Round Rock,
Antioch and Mt. Zion in the late 1800's-all around Waco TX area. Believe he
is related but have not connected him to my "Larry" Green Joseph Riddle. Dr.
JJ is buried near Green's daughter Lula in the old Bosqueville Cem. outside
Waco.
Adams is in family but earlier ggrmo-Sarah Hooks md. Joseph Manning; she was
dau. of Hooks/Adams.
Maybe there is an Adams in Marlin who my fa's fa went to see? frances
