Have you tried ordering the actual death certificate? While the IL Death
Index online is a great resource, it's meant to be used as an index to
the actual death certificates, which name parents and place of birth (and
more). These death certificates have been filmed by the Family History
Library or you can order them from the IL State Archives. I have used
these death certificates for my IL ancestors, and they're a wonderful
resource.
