Along those same lines, I have a prickly similar situation. One of my
sisters has adopted her granddaughter and says she does not want the child
listed any way
but as her own child (rather than granddaughter), and will be furious if I
list the child's name any other way. Even though we have my sister's
daughter's and son-in-law's names, (who are the real parents) my sister does
not want them listed as the parents. She said "put ______ down as a child of
me and my husband, even though
they are actually the grandparents. I dislike having erroneous information
on our family chart. How in the world does one deal with this in order to
keep it from becoming an explosive situation? Thanks for any ideas. JJ
