> I'm looking for my father's family. His father was named James Everett
Smith and was born in or around Little Rock or North Little Rock, AR. in
1918. His father was James Elias and his mother was Elizabeth. She was born
in 1898. James Everett Smith's siblings were Edward, William Charles, Clara,
Mable, Wilma, and Ann(e). James Everett was the eldest. His mother Elizabeth
had one arm and one leg- she lost both around ages 17-19 from blood
poisoning. An old photgraph I have of her shows that she was fairly dark
complexioned (she was part Native American- I don't know how much, but she
definitely looked N.A. )James Elias (my grandfather's father) left up the
Ohio River around 1927 and never returned. It is unknown whether he ran off
or died. If this sounds familiar to anyone, of if anyone has advice on where
I begin my seach, I would really appreciate it. My father doesn't remember
his grandmother's maiden name and everyone in the family who would know is
dead (to my knowledge)!

to find my father's ancestors.
